Song & Logo Competition
About the Competition
Competition Guidelines: Your Creative Contribution
We invite young people from every corner of the globe to lend their talents to the Augustinian Youth Encounter 2027. This is your opportunity to design the official visual identity or compose the anthem for our gathering in Uijeongbu, South Korea. The winning submissions will become the official symbols of AYE27, uniting thousands of voices and hearts.
Themes for Song & Logo Competition
The AYE27 Scripture Theme
All submissions should be rooted in our central scriptural foundation:
"Take heart, it is I. Have no fear."
1. Pillars of Inspiration
In addition to the scripture, we encourage you to draw deep inspiration from the life and profound works of St. Augustine. Your work should reflect one or more of these core concepts:
2. The Restless Heart
Drawing from the famous words of St. Augustine of Hippo: “You called, you shouted, and you broke through my deafness.” Focus on the moment of awakening and the persistent call of God.
3. Walking on the Storm
Reflecting on the courage to face the unknown: “Learn then to tread upon the world; remember to trust in Christ.” This theme explores the strength found in faith during life's turbulent moments.
4. Take Heart, It Is I
This represents the definitive moment of encounter where Jesus speaks directly into our terror and confusion. He does not simply remove the storm; He enters it with us, transforming our deepest fears into courage.
5. Set Alight and Sent
A call to action and excellence: “Aspire to great things, to holiness, wherever you are. Do not settle for less.” This theme focuses on the fire of the Holy Spirit and the mission of the Augustinian youth to be light in the world.

Competition Process for each Augustinian circumscription
All apostolic works and faith communities of the Augustinian Family are invited to participate in the AYE27 Song & Logo competion.
To focus the submissions to a manageable number, we strongly encourage where possible, each circumscription determines a process where a group of entries are assessed locally, with the winning entry then being submitted via this website.
For example, if an Augustinian school with 600 students each want to submit to the competition, the responsibility of the Augustinian members within a circumscription would be to host a local competition for the school and determine the one winning song and the one winning logo. These can then be individually submitted via ayeosa.com. Similarly, if there are several Augustinian parishes, schools and communities in a region, we would encourage that they run a local competition, with the winner of that competition being submitted as a single entry to ayeosa.com.
Please also see key dates below for suggested timeframe for when to hold such a competition.
Winning Submissions
The winner of the AYE27 Song & Logo competition will be based on the submissions made via the official website ayeosa.com. By entering this competition, participants agree that the Augustinians own all rights to the submissions — including the logo design, song, and/or lyrics — and may adapt or modify entries in consultation with the original author as needed to best suit the apostolic works of the Augustinians. Additionally, all participants confirm that their submission is original and entirely your own.
